How To Use

Asphalt (procedural)

  Asphalt (procedural) by FausseFugue

Category Architecture
Date 2006-11-16 22:28:52

Rendertime 00:11:38
System INTEL 3589MHz
Vray version -
3dsmax version -

Comment A completely procedural asphalt material.
For Max 9

Move the Displace map to a V-Ray Displace modifier. The settings I used in the scene are : Amount: 1,0cm; Shift: -0,5cm. You can play around with the displacement settings depending on the kind of asphalt you want and on how close the camera is to the asphalt.

aldofarias82 wrote: i just found a simple way, i applied the material to my model IN THE SAMPLE SCENE, it rendered perfectly, so i saved it and then i droped it to MY SCENE. NOTE: vray displacement for the cracks its great but it just takes years to render (a street).

adbanks wrote: Sorry I can't seem to get the same output as the picture. Am I missing a map somewhere? Thanks

aldofarias82 wrote: no response, ok :) i tried to tweak it and its shaping good but still not like in the sample. my sistem units are on meters, maybe that messed the mat, btw how did u get to have those cracks on it?

aldofarias82 wrote: great mat, but since im not that good adjusting scales, i didnt use it because i was in a rush. could u explain to me how to scale it to a parking lot? tnx . 10 points
