i have currently download the trial version of 3d max 2009 (to see what is all the commotion about))
and as i was installing vray i realized that vray does not load nor let 3d max load
my question is
will a new vray come any time soon or is there any way to fix this problem?
i like vray and my last question has been ask many time
how good is vray compare to mentalray?

I've been asking that question myself. No word yet about the new vray. Last I heard its gonna be vray 1.6.

I heard Chaosgroup will recompile Vray to work with Max 2009 within a week.

Vray vs Mentalray is up for you to decide. They are both very capable renders. Try them both and see what output you like most.

V-Ray 1.5 SP2 with support for 3ds Max (Design) 2009 will be released on 20th April, or sooner if we manage it
but i have seen vray 1.6.22

It's because vray 1.6.22 is a testers build, not a "final" like the 1.5 sp2.

the 1.5 sp2 should be released as demo version "soon".... vlado said quite some time ago....
